SEO involves setting up your site so that it is optimized as well as it can be for specific keywords. That way the search engines rank it high for those keywords and phrases and you receive lots of free traffic. The other part to SEO is starting a link building campaign. You will need to get other sites to put links back to yours on them. This adds credibility to your site as the search engines will keep tabs on these links and give you a boost for having links from authority sites, especially those that deal with the same topic as yours.
SEO is one of those things that you can get really into, or just do a little of. You’ll likely see a boost in your rankings and in your traffic even if you do just a little. So if you’re not taking advantage of SEO yet, I urge you to learn more about what you can do to give your site a boost in the search engines.
