Once you enable the plugin, you’ll be able to manage the type of video you would like to add in Viper’s manager as shown below.

The plugin currently supports embedding videos from YouTube, Google Video, Daily Motion and many other popular video sites. You may also import FLV, MOV, AVI, MPEG, WMV and other file types.

Once you’re ready to write a post, you’ll be able to click on the video type you’d like to add and then just add the url. The example below shows how easy it is to type in the url to a YouTube video you’d like to add to a blog post.

It’s a pretty good plugin for adding video quickly and conveniently to your site without having to copy and paste lots of code.

Get Viper’s Video Quicktags and start adding video with just a simple click.

If you’ve ever wondered why some wordpress hosted sites have dozens of comments per post, while yours is a ghost town, the answer may lie within the DoFollow Plugin. The problem is, many webmasters don’t bother to comment on posts because they get nothing from it, while there is a backlink on the site, by default, wordpress tags comment links with the rel=”nofollow” attribute.

This means the search engines (namely Google) don’t follow the link. So you don’t get many comments. If you activate the DoFollow plugin, these nofollow tags will be deleted and commentors will have followable links back to their sites. This results in more comments for you.

One thing you can do if you want to let folks know you have a DoFollow Wordpress blog is you can enter your site into DoFollow Diver. DoFollow Diver maintains a current list of DoFollow enabled blogs searchable by keyword. That means users can type in a keyword related to their site and find the list of blogs that use the DoFollow plugin. The tool also includes sites with the Commentluv plugin as well.

Here’s a screenshot of the tool:

So maximize your comments with the DoFollow Plugin and list your site on DoFollow Diver. If you’re still confused, read this informative article on Do Follow links.

The All in One SEO Pack is a wordpress plugin that helps optimize your site for the search engines. Basically, what it does is allow you to add title tags along with a few other popular meta tags to your blog posts quickly and easily.

The All in One SEO Pack has a detailed plugin manager that allows you to control many SEO aspects of your blog as a whole.

This includes giving your blog a title tag, along with description and keyword tags. You can also select how you want your url’s to look on different sections of your site with just a click of the update button. Here’s a screenshot of just part of the All in One SEO Pack Plugin manager:

In addition, you can also choose to use the categories for your keywords so you don’t have to type them all in. You may also set the plugin up to autogenerate descriptions as well and much more. Here are a couple more screenshots to show the additional features of this plugin:

This plugin gives you the ability to fully optimize your blog for the search engines. It’s a must have if you want to try to get free search traffic. Although it doesn’t do everything for you, if you activate the plugin and take the time to learn how to use it, you’ll likely see a significant increase in search traffic.

There are a number of steps involved with manually installing Wordpress. So if your hosting account has Fantastico, you may want to consider using it to install Wordpress instead. It’s quick and easy. But I’ve created this short tutorial to help you navigate the few steps you’ll need to take.

I’m assuming you already have a hosting account with Fantastico (most do) and a domain name that is set-up to point to your server. From there you just login to your cpanel account.

You can accomplish this by visiting the following: http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel (substitute your domain name for www.yourdomain.com). You will need your username and password which was probably given to you by your host.

Once you’re in the cpanel, click on the “Fantastico” icon. You’ll see a page that looks like this:

Click on the “New Installation” link. At that point you’re going to see the following screen:

You can install wordpress in the root domain by leaving the top box blank or type in the name of the directory you’d like it put in (lots of times people put it in ‘blog’ or in the root, but it’s up to you). Then you also need to select a good username and password and fill in your email address and other descriptive information at the bottom. Then click on ‘Install Wordpress’.

From there, you’ll see this screen:

This final screen basically just confirms that everything is correct. Double check that the directory is right and then click on ‘Finish Installation’.

Once Fantastico does it’s thing, you’ll see a screen that let’s you know everything went smoothly. You should make sure you have the username and password recorded and you’re set. The whole procedure will only take a few minutes, much less than the time it would take you to upload even a portion of the Wordpress files you would need to FTP to your server.

So if you have Fantastico on your server, be sure to use it for installing Wordpress. Then get on with writing your content!

If you run a wordpress blog then you probably already realize the value of RSS and increasing the number of subscribers to your RSS feed. But most wordpress themes only include the one link or image to your feed. So how can you remind your visitors to subscribe without being too pushy?

It’s pretty simple by using the Subscribe-Remind plugin. This plugin is fairly simple in nature. It adds a text line to the bottom of each of your posts telling your visitors to subscribe to your RSS feed. That way they read your informative article and then remember to sign-up to get updates from you from your RSS feed.

The last time I visited the Subscribe-Remind download page there was a premium version and a free version. The premium version is better if you don’t understand HTML code as you may need to tweak your settings a little. If you can edit the single page of code without worry, then the free version works fine. You can easily adjust the text that appears at the bottom of each post, add in an image, and change the standard wordpress RSS feed for a Feedburner feed.

All in all, it’s a great little plugin that can dramatically increase your RSS subscribe base. Get the Subscribe-Remind plugin and increase your RSS subscriber base.
